Session descriptions

Hatha Yoga
Our different themes: Hatha Flow, Morning Yoga, Morning Flow, After Work Yoga, Classic and Neck & Shoulders.
Classic Hatha Yoga, the best-known style of yoga. The static poses in Hatha Yoga build strength and flexibility in the muscles. These poses are combined with breathing and visualisation exercises and short periods of meditation to achieve balance in body and soul. In Sanskrit the syllable “ha” means sun, male energy and yang, while “tha” means moon, female energy and yin. Hatha Yoga is said to balance sun and moon energies.

Restorative Yoga
Gentle class designed to release deep layers of tension built up in the body. Restorative Yoga takes you to a state of “being” instead of a state of “doing”. There is no movement, no strain. The class brings you to a sense of stillness, and from there the healing process commences. The poses are held for 10 minutes or longer, which allows the nervous system to relax. Aids such as bolsters, blankets and blocks are used to ensure the body is in a comfortable and relaxing position. No previous yoga experience is required.

Sleepless Sleep
Yoga Nidra, or “sleepless sleep”, is a powerful guided relaxation technique that releases physical, emotional and mental tension. You don’t sleep, but rather achieve a state midway between wakefulness and sleep. The class begins and ends with some gentle movement, but the majority of the session is spent lying on your back, guided by an ancient meditation technique. The deep state of relaxation achieved reduces stress and calms the nervous system and also provides an out-of-the-ordinary experience. The state of relaxation is deeper than in most of the other yoga classes. No previous yoga experience is required.

Kick Start Yoga
A yoga session to reduce the threshold for trying out yoga. Age and flexibility (or lack thereof) make no difference. Come and challenge yourself, both physically and mentally. A mix of dynamic movement and calmer yoga poses. This improves posture and muscular strength as well as circulation and calms the mind. You get a taster of the best of what yoga has to offer. No yoga experience is required.

Yin-Yoga
Every pose, or asana, is held for at least 3-5 minutes, which also gives us time to calm the mind. Yin Yoga works the body’s fascia, connective tissues, instead of the muscles. This is achieved by not stretching so deeply and holding the poses for longer. The major focus is the area around the hips and lumbar region. There is a lot of connective tissue here, which according to yoga philosophy accumulates a lot of physical and emotional tension. Yin Yoga is suitable for everyone. With the aid of props, a variety of items such as blankets and bolsters, you can adapt the poses to suit your individual requirements.

Solid Base
Core training is a form of exercise with the emphasis on the abdomen and back. The fundamental idea is to build up strength, stability and balance to be used when we need it most. The back and abdomen are involved in many heavy tasks in everyday life and a strong abdomen and back are therefore a major advantage for avoiding and preventing injury. By exercising the abdomen, back and pelvis, which form the body’s centre for balance and movement, you can facilitate positions in which the core of the body is vulnerable. The biggest advantage of core training, apart from injury prevention, is its simplicity – the equipment we use is resistance bands and a soft exercise mat. No previous knowledge is required.

Soma Move
Soma Move is a holistic movement class that is athletic and at the same time soft.
You work with your body as the resistance and with the ground as your tool. The entire session is an uninterrupted flow of movement patterns where you work with the body as a unit in harmony with the breathing.
